Newspaper
For sparkling windows, our grandparents relied on basic newspaper.

The process is easy. Clean the windows using detergent and water or vinegar and water. After drying, roll the newspaper to form a small ball, then gently rub it over the glass. But not too much as you do not want to injure yourself and result in a damaged window.

Alternately, you could choose two sheets of paper and roll them into a large ball, then soak them into an aqueous solution of vinegar, or detergent and water. It's somewhat messy affair however, your windows will sparkle as never before.

If you are concerned that the ink from the newspaper might make your hands smudge, put on rubber gloves.

Filters for coffee
If you don't have a newspaper in your bag or coffee filters, they can work equally well. You can take a handful and dip in water and use them polish up the glass after you are finished. Coffee filters are free of lint and will make your hillsborough window cleaners sparkling without that fuzzy coating.

Quick fixes
If you notice muddy prints, pawprints, or the trace of a dog's nose that are wet Keep an open spray bottle that contains a mix of vinegar and water.

To make small adjustments for small touch-ups, you can apply the pure vinegar in a cotton sample, or in the event of a need, lemon juice.

Cut the lemon in half, then rub the lemon's flesh over the stain. For the juice of the lemon to give it an additional zing, you could even sprinkle a little baking soda over the lemon's half.

Remember that no matter what method you choose, do not clean your windows if direct sunlight strikes the windows. If you are using detergent, vinegar or even lemon juice you must make sure that the glass is shaded.
